DocumentOrShadowRoot.activeElement

The activeElement property of the DocumentOrShadowRoot interface returns the element within the shadow tree which has focus.

Syntax

var element = DocumentOrShadowRoot.activeElement

Value

A element.

Example

// Know the focused element inside shadow DOM:

  console.log('Active element (inside shadow dom):',
              this.shadowRoot.activeElement);
});
